Travelling from Grenoble to Villard de Lans :

When travelling by air, train or bus it is recommended to travel to the Grenoble central train station "gare S.N.C.F." or to the central bus station "
gare routière" next to "gare S.N.C.F.". There are "VFD" coaches leaving regularly (~10 times a day) from "gare routière"
for Villard the Lans. The coach timetable can be also accessed here. The price for a one-way ticket is 8 Euros, a round-trip costs 15 Euros plus 2 Euros for each piece of baggage.



Travelling to Grenoble :

By train

Consult up-to-date timetables and book your tickets on the S.N.C.F. (French railway service) web-site. By
air to Lyon-Saint Exupéry (LYS) (formerly Satolas),

When travelling from Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport to Grenoble, tickets can be bought from the shuttle bus counter (still called "Satobus") inside the airport. A single ticket costs 20 Euros, although it is cheaper to buy a return (30 Euros). The bus leaves from the bus stand situated between Terminals 1 and 2, Level 1. It arrives at the Grenoble central bus station "gare routière" which is next to Grenoble train station.

By air to Paris, then TGV (train) to Grenoble


By air to Grenoble St. Geoirs (GNB) then Bus to Grenoble

Visitors should take the St. Geoirs-Grenoble airport bus. A regular bus for Grenoble bus station "gare routière" meets each arriving scheduled flight. Departures from Grenoble "gare routière" are 75 minutes before each scheduled flight.
A single ticket costs 13 Euros, but it is cheaper to buy a return ticket (20 Euros).



By air to
Geneva (GVA) then Train
    Take one of the trains from the airport to Geneva Central Station (Cornavin) and change there for a train to Grenoble. Timetables
Private Shuttle Bus " AERO EXPRESS GENEVE "
    This is a shuttle bus service, run by the company "Prestige Travel" (formerly "Transmanager"). The driver waits at the Airport Information-booth in the arrival hall, holding a sign "Aéro-Express Genève". In Grenoble, the bus stops at Place de Verdun. (If there is only one passenger, the driver can agree to stop somewhere else.) Reservations have to be made 2 days in advance with Transmanager by phone: +33 4 38 02 13 33 or by fax +33 4 38 02 08 42.
      Tickets must be purchased from the bus driver.
      The price of a one-way ticket is 46 Euros.
